Just when you think you’ve grown up a little, a brand new toy comes along. I’ve been having an amazing time messing around with my Olympus XZ-1 camera this past week and seem to be taking sneaky snaps of everything. Some of them are useless but some of them come out great and I think this was the case for the short set of photos I stole from my local “General Shop”. Isn’t that a great name ?! You wouldn’t really know what is in a “General Shop” unless you walked in, would you ? And to be honest you wouldn’t really walk in unless you were looking for something you had no luck finding in “Specific Shops” ! Well that’s how long it took me to find out what was inside this wonderful trove. To my pleasant surprise I found exactly what I needed and more – teasures untold, thingamabobs, gadgets and whozits galore ! Isn’t it fascinating ?! I could have bought the whole place just so I had time to go through it piece by piece ! Unfortunately, all I needed were a few hooks, and they were just as easy to find as they were to put up ! Bye for now ! xx – – – – – – CNC on Facebook : CNC on Bloglovin’ :How many wonders can one cavern hold ?
Do you ever find that you have two items that suit each other so well and yet by essence cannot be worn together ? It happens to me so often and these two new pairs of Spring sunglasses are the perfect example. Don’t they look amazing together ?! Mint is everywhere at the moment, a real Twenty-Twelver. You may have seen byebyesoccermom’s DIY leather mint belt featured in Chic Steal’s links of the week (along with my Walk of Fame wedges !) or maybe you noticed it’s right there every time you click on TheBeautyDepartment.com, up in the top right corner. And red ? Well, red’s a staple. And the sexy shade is definitely enjoying the pastel phase fashion is going through this year because it stands out more than ever ! I’m consciously influenced by current trends and think these colours look grand together, but the problem with these glasses is I will always have to pick one or the other… By the way, did you notice my bright blue shelf ? I told you I was DIYing my new flat at the moment… Well this particular creation was made from a drawer I found in the street, a can of blue spray paint and a couple of belts : ) Ya like ? Mint shades – Bought at local RSPCA charity shop Red <3 shades – Bought in a touristy shop on Oxford Street Blue spray paint – Deep Ocean Homebase Belts – Golddigga Wow, what a difference it makes using a real camera – this blog is on FIRE ! Remember playing with Hama beads ?! Well not everybody grew out of it… I have been messing around with these colourful plastic beads for the last couple of days and have come up with some funky stuff ! The story behind me getting back into this is actually pretty amazing – I recently moved into a new flat and apparently the people who lived here before me were creative fellas ! They left me a whole cupboard of exciting bits and pieces, and a great big box of Hama beads ! Previous tenants, if you are still out there somewhere, THANK YOU ! Have a look at these… PACMAN MONSTER EARRINGSHama Bead Baby
What do Mister Potato Head, Bow Peep and Buzz Lightyear all have in common ? They all have ANDY written on the bottom of their foot ! And just take a look at what I found in a lost vintage store in Camden… His denim jacket ! I feel like part of the family : ) xx For further information on how to live a Hollywood lifestyle, keep reading ! CNC on Facebook :ANDY
It’s Spring ! Here goes another fabulous fashion show of thirst quenching shades and healthy hews ! But remember what I said about Fashion with a Brain ? Google Spring 2012 – Marimekko It’s sad to say English women are known for their bare legs covered in goose bumps. In other words, the British tend to dress according to the calendar rather than to the actual weather – I guess we could plead wishful thinking ! Unfortunately, this ends in fashion victims running around in the rain with half their body on show… After living in France for 10 years, I can assure you this is not a positive image in the fashion industry. It may be sunny, the sky may be blue and yes, it may well be March 20th, but it’s not exactly scorching, is it ? Don’t get me wrong, I get excited about summertime too and already have a wardrobe of clothes I can’t wait to take for a ride… But let’s give the sun the time to wake up and keep ourselves warm for now. A fun way to make the most of this inbetweener of a season ? LAYERING! Layering is a great fashion tool and has definitely been used as a marketing one as far as the brand Amercian Vintage is concerned. Minimalist, quality clothes, worn over the top of each other creating a beautiful rainbow of fabrics and tones… Extra fashion fun, make the most of it ! And of course it’s handy when the weather is playing up too – if you get too hot whip it off, if you get the chills pull it back on again. One of the biggest trends this S/S is the metal cuff. And even bigger than the metal cuff is the PAIR of metal cuffs. I call them slave cuffs and they are definitely a Fashion Must-Have this summer, they’re everywhere, on everyone, and best of all, they look RAD.Slave 4 U – DIY Twin Cuffs

Here is my first DIY post in the Feet category and I have to say I am pretty proud. I have called them my Walk of Fame Wedges, for obvious reasons, and love the way they shine even in day light ! The blue goes with a lot of my clothes and easily suits denim slims. It is also particularly in this summer so I will definitely be getting some use out of these beauties ! They’re high but easy enough to walk in so I will be showing them around London ASAP.Walk of Fame Wedges
